SENIOR RESOURCE MANAGER (Strategy & Design)

Location: London
Hybrid Working: 4 days (Monday - Thursday) in the office, Friday WFH
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000

Job Brief

We're looking for a Senior Resource Manager to become a vital part of our team, ensuring the seamless day-to-day running of the Strategy and Design departments. You'll play a key role in resource allocation, workflow management, and maintaining accurate project tracking through our resource management tool, Float.

About You

  • Experience: You've worked as a resource manager in a creative agency and understand the workflows within Strategy and Design teams.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across teams at all levels.
  • Proactive: Skilled at identifying resource gaps and communicating staffing needs.

Your Key Responsibilities

Resource Management

  • Oversee the daily workflow of Strategy and Design teams using Float, ensuring clear deliverables and priorities.
  • Maintain quality control for all briefs entering these departments.
  • Manage long-term resource planning for Client Services and Project Management teams, identifying capacity throughout the year.
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure the right people are assigned to the right briefs.
  • Provide timely communication between departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Contribute to long-term forecasting for Strategy, Design, and Client Services teams.

Operations

  • Partner with the Head of Strategy and Head of Client Services to refine workflows and improve utilisation reporting.

Freelance Management & Finance

  • Manage freelancer sourcing and relationships, maintaining a network of trusted freelancers.
  • Support the Production team with freelance contracts, interviews, and onboarding/offboarding.
  • Monitor freelance budgets, track spending, and troubleshoot timesheet or payment issues.
  • Oversee contract management and ensure IR35 compliance.
  • Approve holiday requests and address capacity concerns.
