Location: London with remote flexibility
About the Company:

Role Overview:
Working closely with the Head of Ops and Product, as you will spearhead the establishment and growth of data capabilities within our client's organization. We're seeking someone with a strong Data Engineering background capable of building and leading a high-performing Data team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be eager to delve into the world of AI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the setup and expansion of the data team, both contract and permanent, from the ground up.
- Collaborate closely with thier Senior Product Manager, to ensure seamless integration between data and product experiences.
- Develop and implement data strategies, leveraging existing assets and talent to drive business success.
- Engage with clients and portfolio companies to understand their data needs and deliver innovative solutions.
- Cultivate a culture of excellence and innovation within the data team, promoting continuous learning and growth.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from a reputable university (Redbrick preferred but not mandatory).
- Proven experience in data engineering or data science, with a track record of success in building and scaling data capabilities.
- Strong technical proficiency, with the ability to work across a range of data stacks and technologies.
- Commercial awareness and client-facing experience are essential, as you will be interacting with stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Willingness to adapt and learn, with a keen interest in AI and emerging technologies.
- Ability to work within US timeframes and collaborate effectively with international teams.

- Second-stage interview including 2x technical tests.
- 30-minute cultural fit assessment.
