Job description
Major Players are partnering with a renowned global branding and design agency to recruit for a Business Director. As an account leader, you will be at the forefront of the agency's client partnerships, responsible for achieving ambitious client deliverables and unlocking new avenues for growth.
The successful candidate will have an extensive background in design and branding, working on global, corporate accounts.
Your role & responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Direct and grow large-scale and complex accounts, ensuring excellence in strategic and creative standards in close collaboration with project leadership.
- Client Partnership: Build and nurture long-term client relationships grounded in trust, insightful thinking, and effective creative solutions. Be a trusted advisor, proactively identifying opportunities and providing strategic solutions.
- Revenue Generation: Lead and direct account teams to achieve client objectives and introduce new expertise to generate additional revenue and profitability. Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within existing and prospective clients.
- Strategic & Creative Excellence: Ensure briefs, creative, and strategic solutions effectively address client needs. Partner with strategic and creative teams to deliver best-in-class work that solves business challenges and drives long-term brand growth.
- Financial Acumen: Collaborate with project leadership to apply your financial expertise in long-term forecasting and operational decisions to improve revenue and margin. Lead difficult conversations on budget management.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Leverage the full power of the agency's offerings to drive innovation, expand capabilities, and increase overall revenue.
- Influence & Negotiation: Utilise your strong influencing and negotiation skills to build robust client relationships and navigate complex challenges.
- Business Acumen: Understand the intricacies of the client's business and the procurement process, building relationships with procurement teams.
Skills required:
- Significant experience of running large, complex, global accounts involving all aspects of consumer/corporate and service branding (including innovation, brand creation, and packaging). Experience working with Middle East based clients would be advantageous.
- Extensive background working in design, branding and strategy agencies.
- Excellent business acumen, with a comprehensive understanding of business operations, financial, and resource management.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, stay focused and optimistic, persist through adversity, and recover quickly from setbacks.
Location & Workplace policy:
- Impressive office based in London
- Hybrid working policy, 3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday & Thursday)
